The roads in Wyoming were surrounded by beautiful outcrops of rocks. We usually had the road all to ourselves.

There were often vast stretches of road between towns - but we didn't need to worry about getting gas!

We had to share most of the roads that went over high passes with cars - but that wasn't the case at White Bird where cars went up the new grade - visible in the background. Roads in Montana (right) lived up to their reputation as part of the big-sky state.
