Kansas - July 8th.We reached Kansas (and the Central Time Zone) after camping in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado the previous night. The scenery in Kansas was similar to that of Eastern Colorado - many rolling hills. | ![]() Kansas - Our Sixth State |
![]() Looking South Over A Plowed Field | Kansas Is Not Flat !!Our biggest surprise (and disappointment) was that Kansas is not a flat state - it is full of rolling hills. This picture was taken looking South so the land is fairly constant in elevation. Kansas is full of rolling hills spaced about 4 miles apart in the West-East Direction. |
The Center of AmericaThe Geographic Center of America is located near Belleville, Kansas. In Belleville we spent the night with Bernice & Bernard McElroy in a big white house. | ![]() The Geographic Center of America |
